Legacy Furniture Group, Inc. will introduce Unity, a sophisticated, unique healthcare collection designed in collaboration with Beck and Beck Design to NeoCon East 2011, November 2-3. The Unity Collection features lobby/waiting room seating, casegoods and lounge pieces for use in healthcare spaces.
Built for Healthcare
The Unity collection is built to provide maximum comfort and style to the healthcare patient from beginning end. The seating in the collection is available in a closed or open “U” arm shape with the option of wood, upholstered, polyurethane or bacteria-killing CuVerroTM arm caps and features a bent ply “J” back upright that flexes slightly and has superior lumbar support for long hours of waiting. The bases of the unit are available in wood or metal. “Our core strength is the level of customization in our line,” commented Todd Norris, President of Legacy Furniture Group, Inc., “…and Unity allows the designer or end user to build exactly what they want…a wood or metal base, variety of arm caps and an open or closed style or arm.”
Unity also focuses on infectious disease control, a hot topic among hospital administrators. All seating features cleanout, antimicrobial finishes and the availability of antimicrobial fabrics. Even the lounge pieces have a focus on healthcare with a gravity cleanout for ease of maintenance.
Some of the signature pieces in the line include the Highback Patient Chair, the Sleeper Sofa and the Wardrobe. The Highback Patient Chair features an open arm and a “J” bar back that provides a fashion-forward look with a comforting back motion and lumbar support for those occasional waits in the doctor’s office. The Sleeper Sofa has two ends for storage and a pull-out sleep surface that can hold up to four men without tipping. The Wardrobe is available in laminate for easy cleaning and features a sliding door with two upper and two lower drawers.
“We are proud of our collaboration with Beck and Beck Design and feel Unity is the future of healthcare design,” noted Norris, “…we invite everyone at NeoCon East to our booth #2633 to see the entire Unity collection along with the other new collections from Legacy.”
